that, I lost my sanctuary.

Have you ever come to a point where you've struggled so much that you're too exhausted to even try anymore?
You work and push yourself until you've gone
way beyond your limit---but still, you end up failing.
You cry a little.
You die a little.

Hummingbird
The Hummingbird
There's a little bird that wants to fly.
Unfortunately, she's trapped in a cage no bigger than a 6-inch box and her wings are fastened tightly around her body.
She wants to soar and feel the wind on her wings, but how can she?
No one's there to save her.

Dreams
I've always had a grand dream, and like other people, I try to make it happen.
In order to get that dream, you have to put a lot of energy into it; you need to focus and give it your all. But alas, distractions often come and sidetrack you from your goal. When
that happens, you have to see whether or not that distraction is worth the time you're spending.
But that's not the only thing you have to put into consideration. What if this certain 'distraction' is not inanimate or nonliving? What if this is about something more important---say, a human being. Suddenly, you have to work your life around that person in order to meet the basic needs of a good relationship. It's true that we all deal with dozens of relationships in our lifetime; we have our basic families, our friends, our teachers and several other important people who make such great impacts in our lives. But they--more often than not--support our dreams and let us go during the times that we need to focus on a specific task; they, too have their own lives to deal with, after all. But what if this
new relationship you have with this specific person needs constant work---so much work that it becomes a distraction instead of a supporting factor? As some people would say: love blinds you from reason. What should you do, then? Should you give up your grand dream and settle for something that could replace it? Or should you let go of that person to pursue your dream?
I still have that dream, and I'm holding on to it tightly. I'm hoping in my heart to make it happen one day, and hopefully without having to make a choice of letting either one go.

Ang Pilipino
I just finished watching today's episode of STORY
LINE, entitled "Defiance". It's about two Filipinos who defied the norms by doing jobs that were not typically done by other people of their gender. Since it was not what most people were used to, they endured countless piercing comments and criticisms that tried to bring them down. Despite all of the things they had to go through, they still pushed forward in order to help their families.
One particular
Pinay caught my attention, because she challenged the status quo by being a
jeepney driver. Even though a number of people felt sorry for her, she still stood with her head up high, saying that she's proud of what she does. At least she's earning something and she is able to provide for her family, she says.
Truly, when you witness people like them, you'd be proud to say you're a Filipino. You can count on a Filipino to stay strong in moments of hardship and still have them smiling back at you no matter how hard life may get.
Mabuhay ang mga Pilipino!

The Nightmare Before Christmas was awesome. :">
Another movie added to my favorites list.
Let's not forget Avatar. A great movie, as well. :)
I've noticed, I've loved good graphics and animation ever since way back. It just struck me now that I never outgrew it. :x
